The ADAMS Lab and the University of Alberta accept no responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any purpose of the output these tools produce, and accept no liability for any loss, damage, cost, or claim arising from the use of these tools or of anything they produce.
Results are provided for research purposes only. Any decision you make on the basis of them, and any consequence of that decision, is yours alone. You use these tools entirely at your own risk.
Thermal Data Analysis and Phase Recognition are built and maintained by a research lab for its own work. They are not commercial products. They have not been independently verified, they carry no accreditation, and they are not calibrated against anything.
This is the failure we consider most likely, and the one to watch for. Neither tool can tell whether the data it was given is suitable. A miscalibrated sensor, a recording from a different process, or images taken at the wrong magnification will all produce results that appear entirely ordinary.
You are responsible for knowing that your input is valid. The tool cannot check this for you.
Download anything you need to keep, and keep your own copy of it.
Files you upload are kept indefinitely as part of the lab's research data catalogue. There is no self-service deletion and no delete button. Removal requests are handled case by case with no guarantee. Consider this before uploading.
These tools are for machine and materials data: sensor recordings from printing runs and microscope images of metal specimens. Do not upload documents, images, or recordings containing information about identifiable people. The system is not designed to hold that and provides no protections appropriate to it.
These tools are provided as they are, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy of results. You use them at your own risk.
